AMLP announces founding Supporting Partner role in Heritage Adapts! global climate campaign

The American Music Landmarks Project is honored to announce its role as a founding Supporting Partner of the Heritage Adapts! 3000 x 2300 campaign launched today, June 4, 2026. We are excited to join a global, cross-cultural alliance of climate and cultural leaders as AMLP's official working commitment to promoting climate resilience and adaptation of our shared cultural heritage across humanity and specifically the architectural legacy of US popular music history.
Ingenuity and resilience are the hallmarks of American popular music and the diversity of people, places and events that forged its continuing inspired and complicated story reflect a truly global alchemy. This insight combined with the realities of stewarding built history and heritage in continuum (for us, understanding with sensitivity that music landmarks are living artifacts that inevitably evolve) and the alarming, ever-increasing climate risk to cultural heritage around the world makes Heritage Adapts! the imperative response we need in this moment.
The American Music Landmarks Project calls on our music landmark friends and partners, allied partners and music landmark operators and allied organizations across the country to unite with us in taking the Heritage Adapts! 3000 x 2030 collective pledge as stewards of the traditions and places that shaped the sound of a nation, one of the United States' greatest contributions to world culture. Through free training, tools and support provided by the Heritage Adapts! Community of Action, the aim is to implement local climate adaptation strategies at 3,000 heritage sites and cultural practices worldwide by 2030 - a goal worthy of meeting and exceeding!
