American Music Landmarks Project participates in 2nd annual National Historic Marker Day

The American Music Landmarks Project is excited to be an official participant of the second annual National Historic Marker Day on Friday, April 29th! We are eager to support this wonderful initiative of the William G. Pomeroy Foundation by helping music fans get connected with an opportunity to assist an historic marker of musical significance in their community or region. This coincides with our public-service mission to cultivate public awareness, appreciation and stewardship of the places that shaped our collective music history.

Be sure to visit the official event page to register and download your volunteer kit. Participation is free! If you'd like help finding a musical marker near you, or another location you're willing and able to travel to, please contact us at info@musiclandmarks.org.

We hope plenty of music markers receive special treatment and celebration on National Historic Marker Day and throughout the year! Whether you’re planning to clean and maintain an historic marker on this national holiday or are planning to do so in the future, check out the William G. Pomeroy Foundation's helpful Marker Cleaning Guide to assist you with the step-by-step process.
